Make Space

Sometimes life just stinks.

Sometimes life is hard.

Sometimes people we love disappoint us.

Sometimes we disappoint ourselves.

Sometimes someone’s best effort is pretty terrible.

Sometimes my best effort is pretty terrible, too.

But, I give you permission to make peace with all of it.

Ever feel like you have those days where when it rains, it pours?

We all do.  We are humans living in a human world.

Even when we logically know that our emotions are created by the way we are thinking…

And that we can think and feel however we want to…

We need to remember remember this, too:

Sometimes, we are just gonna want to be sad for a minute.

And it’s all ok.

You don’t need to look for the silver lining.

You don’t need to figure out how to find the good.

You don’t need to figure out what you have learned,

Or switch out that one thought for a happy one.

Just make space.

Make space for frustration, and disappointment, and difficulty and sadness.

Sometimes things are tough, and that’s ok.

That’s all they need to be.
